Silver King
Tarpon "Megalops Atlanticus" are the most unusual bony fish to be found in the world. Tarpon are among the most primitive fish living today, as revealed by the fin position, the heavy and distinctive scales, and their internal anatomy. They are the only fish with an "air bladder" which allows them to absorb oxygen from the air and to live in waters with almost no oxygen content. Surface rolling Tarpon represent only a fraction of those present in a school. For every one you see, there are probably hundreds below! Tarpon are called tarpum, sabalo real, cuff, silverfish and Silver King.

Tarpon, also nicknamed "Megapolis Aerobicus", their love for aerobics will give any angler a thrill.
This Tarpon caught and released, estimated weight from length and girth scale to be about 155 lbs.
Once caught and brought along side the boat these rather large fish are very fragile, we exercise caution in handling to insure a safe release. To describe the estimation process, a tape or string is used to girth the fish in front of the dorsal fin, a quick overall length measurement. We use a sliding scale that gives a plus or minus poundage.
This Tarpon estimated at 170 lbs. released in good condition.

Redfish
"Reddog" "Red" whatever nick name an angler may have for this fish, it is pound for pound one of the most exciting fish to catch. It has a never give up attitude. Like the snook, it will at the very moment you think you have won find the energy for that last run and more often than not take your hook , plug or fly with him. Found up along the mangroves or in the open flats, Reds, may be seen pushing up wakes, tailing, or "backing", feeding in water so low their backs are out of the water. The fight can at times be best described as trying to hold onto a miniature red freight train.
Snook
The Art of SnookingIt's a largemouth bass on steroids. It's the Enterprise at Warp speed. It's faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall mangroves in a single bound.
It is, for saltwater anglers, the ultimate fish. The snook slams a surface bait like no other finny creature. It is not fishing for the weak of heart.
Spotted Sea Trout
At one time seatrout were the most popular sportfish in Florida. Years of too liberal bag limits and heavy commercial fishing pressure has taken its toll, and finding large seatrout as this one is fairly rare.
Cobia
Cobia rank as one of Florida's most exciting inshore gamefish. Found in water as shallow as three feet and out to depths of over 100 feet. As the water warms in the springtime Cobia will follow stingrays into the shallow water and make for great sight fishing before Tarpon season starts.
